Since Pakistan has the most diversity in terms of its population, we have Punjabis, sindhis, afghans, and many others it also has the amalgam of different cultures. This is also because most of us have our ancestors migrated from India, so many of our traditions are very much familiar with that of India as well. Here are the four very interesting cultural facts about Pakistan
Clothes….what we wear is our style and we love to own it:
People belonging to every region of Pakistan have their own traditional clothes and tradition is what Pakistani people love the most. From shalwar qameez to saaree, from safari suit to dhoti kurta, from tie to pagri, we have our very own way to carry our attire. Just because we love our very old traditional clothing doesn’t mean that we don’t want to renew it, Pakistan has a very good taste in fashion as well, for instance one can see how the shalwar qameez has now transformed into the trendy kapris, chooridars with long shirts. Our garment industry is one of the most progressing industries in Pakistan.
We have the most happening weddings in the world:
Pakistani weddings are one of the most colourful weddings in the world. Here we’ve food, we’ve fun, we’ve dances and? What not!
One simply can’t miss a Paki wedding. As I mentioned earlier, our culture is very much a derived form of Indian culture, our weddings are one of them too. There are many customs which mostly have their roots in India like “Mehndi”, “Maayun”, “Joota Chupai”, “DoodhPilaai” and so many more. But as long as you are enjoying them, its fun. The preparations start almost a month before the actual wedding day and its super doper awesome to be a part of the wedding preparations, but you might wanna leave before the “Rukhsati” (the part when bride finally departs her family) because you might not be able to control your emotions here.
our food is love ^_^
Just like our weddings, our food is colorful and spicy too. We totally love our traditional foods, our mothers and grandmothers cook for us. Infact we’ve renovations in this area as well!
People here are said to be one of the most welcoming people in the world. Our guest are a source of God’s blessing for us and we greet our guests with full hearts. We consider our guest as a part of our family.
