3 most influential startups of 2015

2015 is going to be a big year in terms of technology revolution. You might be having some more cool websites on the internet, some super awesome gadgets and bla bla. Many new start ups are identified that are going to make it big this year, some are trying to make an innovation in messaging, some are media companies, but these three start ups are going to make it real big:

Slack:

Founders: Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, Cal Henderson, Serguei Mourachov
Funding: $180 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Accel Partners, The Social+Capital Partnership, Google Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
What is it about slack: A communication app that lets users in workplace to use a group chat room, private messaging and file sharing. All of the business world is completely taken by storm by this app and it is said to be one of the fastest growing economy during the year 2015. It is also likely to get bigger next year.

Headspace:

Founders: Andy Puddicombe, Richard Pierson

Funding: $4 million dollars, but no investors have been announced yet.

Why should we watch headspace: Companies across Silicon Valley are looking forward to embrace new ways of meditation to help their workers increase their productivity. Headspace provides you mobile and web platforms to let you meditate on your own time. Till now, it has been used in 58 different countries by a large number of users.

Wish:

Founders: Peter Szulczewski, Danny Zhang

Funding: $78.7 million from Founders Fund, Legend Capital, GGV Capital, Jerry Yang, and Jared Leto.

What are we ‘wish-ing’ for: If you are a girl and you love watching stuff that you’ll probably never gonna buy then you must be familiar with pinterest, wish is actually the same. It is a mobile shopping app and shows you only the stuff you are interested to buy. According to Techcrunch:

talks to raise roughly $100 million at a valuation of around $1 billion.”

The CEO, Peter Szulczewski said,

We want to be Google AdWords for the retailer.”
